The latest hottest issue in Penang right now is about Kampung Buah Pala. I believe the most important things to do are :
1) Getting the expert to determine if the site truly has a historical value under the World Heritage Site criteria. If yes, I believe present State Government does have the responsibility to preserve the site (either legally or financially).
2) The present government has been talking about irregularity involved in the land deal. If it has proof, those involved should be brought to court and face the music. At last the DAPSY take the step to lodge a police report. However, I wonder if that should have been done by the state government itself.
